Year 12 pupil

Having always been interested in graphic design, I thought that it would be a real adventure to see what goes on behind the scenes at Pages Creative.

When I arrived at work experience, I was greeted by an enthusiastic and friendly team who made me feel very welcome. They offered me the interesting opportunity to design my own website. With the help of some amazing people, I worked my way through my project while shadowing graphic designers, writers, editors and more.

Throughout the week I gained worthwhile skills that will help me in the future: how to come up with a business idea, write effective marketing content, choose from a wide variety of themes and fonts, create logo concept ideas and design it in Adobe Illustrator, and most importantly, how to use a coffee machine properly!

Overall, my time here was incredibly fun. I was never confused or lost about what I was doing, and the people I met were friendly and ready to help if I needed it. I’m immensely grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group!
