I set out in the summer of 2013 to look for work experience. I heard about Pages Creative through word of mouth and thought it would be perfect for some work experience in the field of media/journalism. The team is really fun and friendly, making it an enjoyable atmosphere to work in.
What was great about my work experience at Pages Creative was the fact they sculpted it around my ambitions of being a TV presenter. This meant not only improving my journalistic skills, but also my interviewing and editing skills, as they allowed me to create a documentary around Pages Creative and their awards.
Their generosity didn’t stop there, as they then provided me with a webpage to present my media portfolio alongside the Pages Creative documentary. I honestly think this was a key contributing factor in gaining a placement at Newcastle University.
I will take the skills I learnt at Pages Creative with me for the rest of my life, such as the invaluable interpersonal skills but most essentially the vital skill of making a good cup of joe. I’m very fortunate for the experience and recommend anyone who is interested to get in touch.
